Silvio Porzionato
Silvio Porzionato wurde 1971 in Moncalieri (TO, Italien) geboren. Er ist ein figurativer Maler, der Ölmalerei auf großen Leinwänden bevorzugt.
Er fotografiert Freunde und Menschen, denen er auf der Straße begegnet. Seine Figuren werden in statuarischen Nahaufnahmen dargestellt – obwohl es sich um gewöhnliche Menschen handelt, besitzen sie die Kraft, uns die typische private Dimension des Porträts vergessen zu lassen und gleichzeitig zu Ikonen der menschlichen Gattung zu werden.
Silvio schloss die Kunstschule ab und war anschließend zehn Jahre lang Chefdesigner in einem bedeutenden italienischen Unternehmen. Schließlich entschied er sich, ein neues Leben in der Stille des Landlebens, im engen Kontakt mit Natur und Kunst, zu beginnen. Dort fand er seinen Weg: Er wurde entdeckt und erhielt zahlreiche nationale Auszeichnungen. Bereits nach einem Jahr gewann er den Mondadori-Preis für Kunst, und 2010 erhielt er den Kritikerpreis der Saluzzo Arte und schuf ein dauerhaftes Werk für das Museum für urbane Kunst in Turin.
2011 wurde er für die 54. Biennale von Venedig ausgewählt. 2013 realisierte er drei Installationen mit dem Titel „Temporal Code“, bestehend aus 112 Gemälden für das MACS (Museum of Contemporary Art in Sizilien) – nahezu eine Spiegelgalerie, die die verschiedenen Lebensalter des Menschen von der Kindheit bis ins hohe Alter widerspiegelte: Jedes Porträt besitzt dabei die gleiche Intensität und Bedeutung.
Seit 2015 stellt er auf den bedeutendsten Kunstmessen der Welt aus, darunter Art Miami, Kiaf Art Seoul, Art Lima, London Art Fair, Contemporary Istanbul Art Fair, Art New York und viele andere.
2021 schuf er für Aston Martin in Mailand ein Werk mit dem Titel „007 Portraits“, inspiriert von der James-Bond-Saga. Seine letzten Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen fanden in Hongkong, Miami, Chicago, London, Paris, Bogotá, New York, Seoul und Istanbul statt.
