With Landscape Reloaded, Galerie HMH presents a solo exhibition by Carolin Meinl. At its core is an open concept of landscape: landscape appears not as a given motif, but as a process of condensation, omission, and displacement. In her works, often executed in mixed media, painterly traces, linear interventions, and minimalist structures overlap to form multi-layered compositions that oscillate between presence and void.
The works created as part of Galerie HMH’s Artist-in-Residence program at the Château de Monboucher engage with the specific surroundings of the château without depicting them. Rather, atmospheric, spatial, and topographical impressions are translated into a reduced yet dynamic visual language that allows perception to be experienced as a fragmentary, associative act.
Following the exhibition, a key work will remain in the collection of the Château de Monboucher.
