With their series ‘Fragments of a Forgotten Symphony’, Michaela Kindle and Daniel Ricardo González create digital photo collages imbued with a profound, surreal magic.
Abandoned spaces, marked by the passage of time, are artfully interwoven with living elements: lush blossoms, untamed plants, animals and the quiet, ephemeral presence of female figures breathe new life into the past. This symbiosis of decay and floral rebirth forms a powerful metaphor for the endless cycle of transience and renewal.
These complex collages are far more than mere pictorial compositions – they are a visual dialogue between yesterday and today, between a real search for traces and pure imagination. Where life once pulsed, a new reality is now taking root: nature permeates the architecture, bringing the forgotten back to life and making stories that have endured in silence visually audible.
Understood as an ‘echo of memory’, these magical visual worlds invite us to pause, trace forgotten narratives and recognise the subtle beauty inherent in transience. A mosaic of melancholy, nature and unshakeable hope.
