In his series “Submarinas”, Mallorcan artist Pablo Bujosa explores the visual and material dimensions of underwater spaces. His large-scale paintings are far more than depictions of marine landscapes: they are abstract condensations of movement, structure, and light, where organic forms and serial fish motifs are embedded in dense layers of color.

Bujosa employs pronounced textures that evoke sediments, coral structures, or water surfaces. Through the deliberate use of material reliefs and contrasting color fields, he creates works that oscillate between figuration and abstraction. At the same time, the artist addresses not only the aesthetic beauty of marine habitats but also their fragility.

Submarinas invites viewers to immerse themselves in a multi-layered visual universe, where natural processes and artistic transformation converge.
