In "A Wooden Symphony", German artist Gerd Kanz explores the essence of wood through a powerful and abstract visual language. Like the growth rings of a tree, his works unfold in rhythmic textures that embody time, density, and transformation.

The color palette ranges from deep blues to luminous pinks, vibrant turquoise tones, and rich earthy browns. Each piece resonates like a visual instrument – at times silent, then dynamic, then meditative. Wood becomes both subject and sounding board in this painterly composition.

Renowned for his relief-like paintings that hover between sculpture and image, Kanz combines materiality with clarity and poetic intensity.
