Andreas Streicher is a multidisciplinary artist known for his innovative approaches and a remarkable stylistic range. Since beginning his artistic career in 1993, he has created works across a wide variety of media – including paintings, sculptures, installations, performative pieces, and large-scale public projects.
Biography
Before fully dedicating himself to art, Streicher worked in the technical field from 1991 to 1998, specializing in refractory and automotive industries. During that period, he was already creatively engaged, developing artistic projects and participating in exhibitions while exploring the intersection of technology and art.
A significant milestone came in 1999 when he contributed to the painting of a Niki Lauda passenger aircraft, in collaboration with Werner Spitzer under the direction of Professor Ernst Fuchs. That same year, he presented his work “Wheel of Nature” during the Environmental Day at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Tuscaloosa, Alabama (USA). In 2000, he was commissioned to design an Airbus A321 for the airline Aero Lloyd.
In 2001, he was entrusted with the artistic and technical direction for the construction of the “Pharaonentempel” (Pharaoh Temple), a large-scale gastronomy project in Graz, Austria. In the years that followed, Streicher continued producing sculptures, fountains, paintings, and performance-based artworks.
Between 2002 and 2009, he developed a unique technique that involved applying paint using explosive materials. The resulting works are marked by a dynamic fusion of destruction and creation, expressing a raw and immediate moment of artistic genesis. This approach was deeply influenced by his participation in the group exhibition “Heart of the World” at the Marriott World Trade Center in New York City on September 8, 2001, just before the events that changed the world.
Since 2009, Streicher has been living and working on Mallorca, where he continues to explore concepts of multiplication, metamorphosis, and consciousness in art. His theoretical work “STREICHER – Evolution 001” outlines the development of the “Hyperoriginal” – art as a mirror of the creative process.
Since 2019, his scope of work has expanded beyond artistic creation. Streicher also operates as a gallerist and directs Galeria HMH on Mallorca – a private Blue-Chip gallery and one of the largest galleries in the Balearic Islands.
In 2024, Streicher returned to his original explosive painting technique – a conscious reconnection with the roots of his artistic practice, once again placing the tension between destruction and creation at the center of his expression.
His works are represented in private and public collections worldwide. Through his unique visual language and continuous artistic research, Andreas Streicher has established himself as a distinct voice in the contemporary art world.

METAMPORPHOSIS (actual work since 2012) - HISTORY
The works shot from 2002 to 2009 seem to unfold in decorative mirror images. While emerges chaotic appearance in the explosive original creations (manifestation by explosion), in metamorphosis, a consciously ordered unfolding takes place, which develops and forms species in sequence.
The result is digital alpha works, series and variants. The multiplication proves to be a necessary instrument for the expression of Creation - Evolution - Art. The increase and resolution of the respective topic takes place in the creation of the Hyperoriginal. The intensive and immediate discussion provides the answer.
